Fix Canonical URL for the Home Page Using Yoast SEO Plugin
In this video, we will quickly fix the issue of the Canonical URL for the Home page using the Yoast SEO plugin. Recently, we ran an SEO check on seobility.net and identified a Canonical URL issue. The problem indicated that the specified Canonical link points to a different page. Let’s resolve this.
For that, access your WordPress Dashboard and open the pages with the canonical issue. If you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed, you’ll find an “Advanced” section (scroll down). Click on it. Now, on the Canonical URL, add the site’s URL. Ensure to include “www” if your website uses it. Now update the page and clear all cache. Finally, re-run the analysis on seobility.net to check if the issue has been resolved.
By following these steps, you can effectively fix the Canonical URL issue and improve your website’s SEO score. Thank you very much.
