I installed a nulled WordPress Enfold theme
In this video, we explore the risks of installing nulled themes on your WordPress website. Despite a seemingly clean scan on VirusTotal, we encountered unexpected consequences.
Before diving into installation, we scanned the nulled theme file thoroughly using VirusTotal to ensure it was free of malicious code. With no red flags detected, we proceeded to upload the theme via cPanel due to its size.
Upon activation, the theme appeared to function well. However, closer inspection revealed a newly added unauthorized user with administrator privileges. Despite multiple attempts, we couldn’t remove this user, indicating a potential security breach.
This experience underscores the dangers of using nulled themes and plugins. Despite passing initial scans, they can harbor hidden vulnerabilities, compromising your site’s security. We strongly advise against downloading nulled or cracked themes and plugins, as they pose significant risks to your WordPress site’s integrity.
For secure and reliable themes and plugins, always opt for official sources or trusted developers. Hope this video was useful.
Thank you very much.
