Backup WordPress manually using cPanel!
In today’s WordPress tutorial, we will guide you through the process of backing up your WordPress website manually without using any plugins. Backing up your site is extremely important, as it will help recover your whole website in case of any unforeseen events.
Begin by logging into your cPanel. If you don’t have access, reach out to your hosting provider for assistance. Once logged in, navigate to ‘File Manager’ to locate your website files within the ‘Public_html’ directory. Enable ‘Show hidden files’, select all files, compress them into a Zip file, and download it to your PC.
Next, head to ‘phpMyAdmin’ to back up your database. Export the database and download it to your PC. This step ensures that all your site’s content and settings are safely stored.
Don’t forget to back up your theme settings. Log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to your theme settings, and export them. This ensures the preservation of your site’s design and customization.
With these files – website files, database, and theme settings – securely backed up, you can confidently manage your website’s security and stability.
You can use these files to restore your website completely or even migrate or transfer WordPress to other servers or domain names. Thank you.
